 Biography Mario Teguh 

 

  

 

Sis Maryono Teguh who is also well-known as Mario Teguh was born on March 5, 1956 in Makasar. His name is popular throughout Indonesia when he appeared on a motivational TV program. Many people like his words and his way in giving advice. As the result, Mario Teguh is named as one of the best motivators in Indonesia. However, Mario Teguh is actually a businessman and in his career track, he had ever worked in some companies and banks.

Mario Teguh has various education background. In 1975, he studied at Mew Trier West high, Chicago, USA. It had same level as senior high school and he took architecture major. After that, he did not go to university with the same major. Instead, he went back to Indonesia and studied linguistics at a teacher training and education faculty in Malang. He took English Education study program. Then, he went to Japan and took International Business at Sophia University. He continued his master degree at Indiana University in United States of America, majoring Operation Systems and graduated in 1983.

After finishing his study and went back to Indonesia, he had ever worked in some companies. He ever worked at BIMC Company as Head of Manager. From 1983 to 1986, he worked at Citibank as Head of Sales. Then from 1986-1989, he worked at BSB Bank (Bank State Branch) and Manager of Business Development. A year later, he worked at Aspac Bank for 4 years as Vice President Marketing and Organization Development (1990-1994). Now, he is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Senior Consultant at Exnal Corp since 1994.

Mario Teguh establish Exnal Corp, a Bussiness Effectiveness Consultant company, Exnal Corp. It is a company which deals with business consultation. Exnal Corp concerns on development of service quality with its specialty, solution of business effectiveness. In doing his work as motivator and consultant, Mario Teguh uses Emotional Intelligent. He uses more approaches through mind and soul, and also anger management since he knows that Indonesia’s societies were plural and he believes his approaches can be easily accepted by everyone.

Mario Teguh also wrote some books such as Becoming a Star (2006), One Million Second Chances (2006), Life Changer (2009), and Leadership Golden Ways (2009). He also got some achievements due to his work. In 2010, he was elected as one of 8 Change Figure 2009, Republika version. In the same year, he also received an achievement from MURI as a Motivator with the hugest number of Facebook Fans in Indonesia.

About his personal life, on January 28, 1993, Mario Teguh got married with Linna. At that time, Linna was a director at a company in USA. But, she decided to resign from her job when she got married. Mario Teguh and Linna have two children. They are Audrey Teguh (20 years old) and Marco Teguh (16 years old). Lately, there is a rumour that Mario Teguh has another child from his previous marriage. A rumour said that he had ever got married and divorced before he met Linna. However, this issue can’t be trusted since there is no confirmation or clarification from Mario Teguh and family.
